Notice of Public Hearing
NOTICE is hereby given that on Wednesday, November 21 at 3:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Planning Commission of the City of Weed will hold a Public Hearing at the Weed City Hall, in the Council Chambers located at 550 Main Street, Weed, CA 96094, to consider the following application:
The project is a Conditional Use Permit for a truck repair shop and home base for a mobile truck mechanic. The location of the project is 600 North Weed Blvd. The property is zoned C-2 in the City of Weed Municipal Code and is designated as Commercial Center in the City of Weed General Plan. The site will function primarily as the home base/headquarters for a Mobile Truck Repair service. The applicant proposes to offer a fixed location in addition to the roadside service for trucks needing service from the Interstate, and a place to tow trucks that require repair work that can’t be done on the road. The building is approximately 2,200 square feet in area. The parcel is significantly larger with ample room for internal circulation and truck parking. The site is immediately adjacent to a similar use. The surrounding land use is the Interstate, and immediately adjacent to a Caltrans utility work station. In the vicinity is the Motel 6. The project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15303 of the CEQA Guidelines. New construction of 2500 square feet or less
Pursuant to all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, California Government Code Section 65009 and/or California Public Resources Code Section 21177, if you wish to challenge in court any of the above decisions, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing(s) described in this notice/agenda, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Manager at, or prior to, this public hearing.
Local and State Codes require that notice be delivered to all persons shown on the assessment roll as owning real property within three hundred (300) feet of the property which is the subject of the proposed project.
Please contact City Hall on the day before the scheduled meeting to confirm that the item will be heard on that date.
All interested persons are invited to attend and have the right to be heard on this and any other agenda item.
The above-referenced permit applications and other supporting documentation will be on file at City Hall and available for inspection by members of the public during business hours at least 72 hours in advance of the scheduled hearing.
