The Winter Dinner & Dance is a fundraiser for a group of Sisson School 8th graders who hope to attend an educational marine science program not generally available to local students.
The event will be held in the Elks Lodge at 326 N. Mt. Shasta Blvd. on Saturday, Dec. 5. Dinner is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. and the dance will follow from 8 to 10 p.m.
Food will be prepared by local professional chef Ken Armstrong of KenZen International Cuisine restaurant.
Dinner tickets purchased in advance are $12 for adults ($14 at the door) and $5 ($6 at the door) for kids 13 and under.
The dance, hosted by a popular DJ, is open only to Sisson School 6th-8th graders.
If you purchase tickets to the dance now, they are $4. ($5 at the door) Dinner tickets can be purchased at Village Books in Mount Shasta, and dance tickets at the school. Advance tickets will be sold until Dec. 4.
