Northbound traffic was stopped for nearly five hours on April 2, 2010 as emergency responders cleared an accident that involved an estimated 30 to 40 vehicles. Snow conditions on Easter Sunday are similar to those that resulted in more than a dozen accidents throughout Siskiyou County on April 2.
The Mount Shasta Police Department is currently searching for a man who reportedly held a Mount Shasta woman at knife point and sexually assaulted her.
