Juvenile arrested in connection with Happy Camp pharmacy theft

A 17-year old male from Happy Camp was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 2 and lodged into Juvenile Hall charged with burglary in connection with the break-in at the Clinic Pharmacy in Happy Camp last week, said Susan Gravenkamp, spokesperson for the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department.
A wide variety of prescription medications valued at approximately $100,000 were stolen from the pharmacy on the night of Nov. 26 or the early hours of Nov. 27, Gravenkamp said.
Wednesday’s arrest came after the 17 year old took a Sheriff’s Sergeant to an area in Happy came where he had hidden some of the medication. Two large plastic bags filled with medication were recovered, the Sheriff Department states.
Investigation into the burglary is continuing, and additional arrests are anticipated.
