Dunsmuir City Council meets Feb. 4

Dunsmuir, Calif. -

The Dunsmuir City Council will hold a meeting tomorrow, Feb. 4, at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers.
The list of agenda items that the council will address are as follows:
• The council will hold a public hearing concerning the city of Dunsmuir’s vacation rental regulatory procedures in the single family zone.
• A public hearing will be held so the council may hear testimony concerning the amendment of Section 17.28.1000 of Ordinance 526, which would give the Planning Commission the authority to approve paint colors when considering an application for a material change to buildings in the Historic Preservation District.
• A public hearing will be held concerning amending the Dunsmuir Municipal Code to change the allowed height of front yard fences to four feet tall and requiring an administrative permit for installation.
Following the public hearing, the council may vote to adopt Resolution 2010-18, which would approve the implementation of a $25.00 fee for processing and issuing Fence Installation Permits.
• The council will discuss and adopt Resolution 2010-19, which is the acceptance of finance director Keith Anderson’s letter of intent to retire.
• The council will review the January 2010 Cash Balances and Investments Report.
• The council will discuss and possibly take action on Resolution 2010-11, which approves $12,000 in funding for the California Department of Transportation to prepare preliminary engineering and environmental reports for improvements to the viewing platform at Tauhindauli Park.
• The council will discuss and possibly take action on Resolution 2010-9, which approves a grant agreement with the California Fire Safe Council for a fuels reduction program in selected areas of the community.
