The 9-10 South Siskiyou All Stars team was all business in Shasta Lake City Thursday evening, crushing the Anderson All Stars by a score of 7-0.

They now advance to the final game of the championship round’s elimination bracket, and will face either Corning or East Redding on Saturday evening, beginning at 6 p.m. in Shasta Lake.

Despite temperatures in the upper 90s, the team rallied early and scored six runs in the bottom of the first.

Kaden Riccomini pitched the first four innings, striking out several batters, and Courtlen Cates closed the deal. Only a few Anderson players made it to first base.

Gavin Paisley, playing short stop, made two defensive plays which kept the opposing team from advancing past first.

Team members include Kaden Riccomini, Courtlen Cates, Kole Riccomini, Gavin Paisley, Abraham Barr, Kaimana Ferguson, Gage Kinkade, Kayden Crisci, Nathan Pappas, Nolan Johnson, Derek Krieder, Logan Scholberg and Hunter Stock.

Coaches are Kale Riccomini, Brian Johnson and Chris Pappas.

On Saturday, South Siskiyou will face the victor of the winner’s bracket, either Corning or East Redding. The two undefeated teams will go head-to-head tonight, Friday, July 8 in Shasta Lake.
