The death of 24-year old Kelly Noelle Jorgenson is being ruled a homicide following an autopsy report released Thursday, June 3.
The autopsy determined that Jorgenson's death resulted from intracranial hemorrhage due to homicidal assault, according to a report from the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office.
Last heard from by her mother on April 12, 2010 and last seen at a party off of Shamrock Road in Yreka in mid-April, Jorgenson's body was found in a remote area of Siskiyou County off Highway 96 northwest of Yreka on May 27.
Charles Ray Sturm, age 28 of Yreka, was arrested May 27 and booked into Siskiyou County Jail, charged with murder and conspiracy to obstruct justice. He was arraigned on June 1 in Siskiyou County Superior Court and remains in custody with bail set at $1.5 million.
