Mount Shasta Police lieutenant Gabriela Tazzari and officer Chris Lynch stand with the department’s newest patrol car – a Ford Escape Hybrid. This is the second hybrid vehicle in service at the MSPD – and the first hybrid patrol vehicle in all of Siskiyou County, said Chief Parish Cross. “We are saving the department money, and, perhaps more importantly, we’re reducing our carbon footprint at the same time,” Cross said.
