Offshore earthquake felt in Mt. Shasta area

Residents of the Mt. Shasta  area may have felt the quiver of a 6.0 earthquake off the California coast 36 miles from Ferndale in Humboldt County at 12:20 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4.
According to the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program online, the depth of the earthquake was 7 miles.
