The Mount Shasta Shopping Center hosted an unusual skiing, snowboard festival March 9 with over 150 spectators watching 50 plus competitors on a terrain park built by volunteers in the parking lot. Sponsored by the Mt. Shasta Ski Park, the event featured music, food and refreshments.
In addition to the berms, the Ski Park brought in four truckloads of snow to build the features that included a high ramp for the start.
“It is great to see so many volunteers come together to put this on,” said Ski Park marketing director Jim Mullins.
