The winner of the Siskiyou Arts Council and Mountain Runners t-shirt contest was announced on the morning of March 8 live on the radio.

SAC executive director Lauri Sturdivant announced the winner as Cindy Summers  – who was also the host of the radio show.

Summers is from Dunsmuir. Her design features the Mountain Pride wildflower.

The second place winner is Terry Lawhon from Mount Shasta. He chose to base his design around the Western Pasque Flower.

Lawhon wins $250, but Summers will take home the big prize. All the t-shirts from this year’s 2011 Mount Shasta Fourth of July Fun Run/Walk will feature her design. It's not yet known what color the t-shirt will be.

Summers also wins six t-shirts, a sweatshirt and $500.
