A longtime resident of McCloud, Kathern Farentinos was employed by the McCloud River Lumber Company for many years and, with her husband Christos, contributed time and effort in support of charitable activities and events including the McCloud Fiesta. She remained joyous and enthusiastic until the very end.

A brilliant artist, Pat spent the early half of his life growing up in the Dunsmuir/Castle Crags area. He was a world class wood carver as well as having a rare and amazing ability with anything artistic or mechanical.

Vern and his boys built the pump house cabin in McCloud, where he and his wife Greta settled in 1978. Vern worked for the Hearst Corporation's private estate in McCloud and was a seasonal employee for the US Forrest Service Wood Patrol for 20 years.
