A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at Mount Shasta Memorial Park

December 27, 1935 ~ March 11, 2017

It is with sorrow, and joy, that we share that Mary Louise Beauchene was received into the loving arms of her Savior on March 11, 2017, after a short illness, in Kirkland, WA.

Born in Topeka, KS as Mary Louise Turk, she lived in Kansas until she was 4 years old and the Turk family moved to southern California. She graduated from Washington High School in 1954, and went to work for the Federal Reserve Bank. It was 1956 when she met Jim Beauchene. They each had new cars and met at a street racing event. Louise challenged Jim to a race, convinced that her car was faster than his. She won that race, and won his heart as well. They married in 1957 and started their family the following year. Louise devoted her life to raising her children and being involved in all their lives. From Little League Baseball to Girl Scouts, she was always there. As her children all grew into adulthood and went off to make their own lives, Louise (Mom) was always “home” to us. Her life was about family. Louise worked various jobs once her kids were all in school including waitressing, floral design, and accounting. She loved flowers the most, and always surrounded herself with beautiful landscaping and flowering plants.

In 1973, the Beauchene Family moved to Mt Shasta where they lived until the early 1980s. As the kids were on their own, Jim’s job took the couple back to southern CA where they lived until they moved to Vancouver, WA in 2004. Sadly, Jim passed away in July 2015, after 58 years of marriage. His passing was heartbreaking for Louise but she remained in Vancouver until February 2017, when health issues necessitated her move from her home. She was so hopeful for Spring, and to see all her new flowers blooming, but this was not how the story would unfold. Instead, she is walking with JOY in the gardens of Heaven. Our sorrow is deep, but she is at peace surrounded by the glory of Heaven.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Audrey Turk, brothers Charles and Lawrence Turk, her beloved husband James Beauchene, and son Ricky Beauchene. Her legacy lives on in son Ron (Lacy) Beauchene, daughter Audrey (Ron) Wilde, and son Dan (Becky) Beauchene, and her sister Gloria Jean Tweedle. Louise had many nieces and nephews, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The Celebration of Life will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00am Mount Shasta Memorial Park.
