A celebration of Robert's life will be held on Saturday, May 27 at 1 p.m. in the Evangelical Free Church of Mount Shasta.
Robert W. Hughes, longtime Mount Shasta, California psychologist and current executive director of Remi Vista, Inc., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in Mount Shasta. He was 52.
Robert was born August 14, 1964 in Arcadia to Paul and Sharon Hughes. He was raised in the Newport Beach area and attended Corona Del Mar High School, Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Antioch University and Fuller Seminary in Pasadena.
He met Noel, his soon to be wife, at Westmont and they began their life together there. After his studies were complete in 1997, the family settled in Mount Shasta.
He was a member of Evangelical Free Church of Mount Shasta; Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Simpson University in Redding; co-founder of Siskiyou Fryaking Association; and a current commissioner for First 5 Siskiyou.
In addition to his wife Noel, of Mount Shasta, Robert is survived by his daughter, Emily Limkeman and husband, Steve of Jejo Island, South Korea; daughter, Alyssa Rickert and husband, John of Goleta; son, Sean Hughes and fiance, Emily Taylor of Goleta; mother, Sharon Ward Rogers of Redding; father, Paul Curtis Hughes of Mount Shasta; sister, Jennifer Adnams of San Juan Capistrano; brother, Jon Hughes of Ladera Ranch; and two beautiful granddaughters, Abigail and Lily.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Saturday, May 27 at 1 p.m. in the Evangelical Free Church of Mount Shasta.
For those who cannot attend, a live feed will be on the Evangelical Free Church of Mount Shasta Facebook page, and will remain there for those who cannot watch it live.
Burial will be private in the Mt. Shasta Memorial Park.
