On the afternoon of May 3, 2017, God called Ronald John Rouiller home. A long time resident of McCloud, CA, Ronald passed away at UCSF after a brief illness.

Ronald was born in Oakland, CA. He spent most of his childhood growing up in Chemeketa Park, a small community in the Santa Cruz Mountains. He graduated from Los Gatos High School. After high school, Ronald served this great nation for two years in the U.S. Navy.

After the Navy, Ronald spent time in McCloud and Chester and eventually settled in Cupertino, CA where he was an inspector for the Marine Division at Westinghouse. He spent his free time coaching little league baseball.

In 1978, Ronald moved his family to McCloud to escape the Bay Area for a better life. This is where he spent the next 39 years doing what he loved, fishing, hunting, golfing, camping and cutting fire wood. He also enjoyed watching most sports, either on TV or in person.

Survivors include his two sons and their wives, Steve & Gabby Rouiller of Colorado Springs, CO and Jeff & Shari Rouiller of Redding, CA, one brother, Jack Rouiller of San Jose, CA, five grandchildren, a nine year old Golden Lab named Goldie and many loving friends. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Rest in peace Pop-o! We love you!
