Darlene Granstrom passed away on June 17, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Redding, California, following a long illness.
Darlene was born in Oakland, California on August 10, 1948. Her family moved to South San Francisco in 1952; and she graduated from South San Francisco High School.
Darlene worked in the San Francisco Financial District until the 1970s when she moved to Redding, California, where she worked at Shasta County Mental Health for over 20 years.
During that time Darlene advanced from a receptionist position to administration, and was known for being a strong advocate for mental health patients.
Darlene retired in 2010 and moved with her husband to Lake Shastina.
Darlene is survived by her husband of 25 years, Richard Granstrom; her sons, Bryan Meuser of Sacramento, California and Michael Meuser of Vancouver, Washington; her daughter, Michelle Meuser of Redding, California; her brother, Tom Davis of Grass Valley, California; and nephew, Dale Davis of San Francisco.
A memorial service will be held at a future date.
