Daniel Ryan Moll was born on April 12, 1982 in Mt. Shasta California. Rena Jael (Wilden) Moll was born January 27, 1983, also in Mt. Shasta. Danny and Rena both enjoyed growing up in the community of Mt. Shasta, which is where they met one another in 2003, and were married in 2004. Danny loved all things music, and taught himself how to play guitar, which was one of his passions. He played on his church’s worship teams, at camps, retreats and at home. He also enjoyed being a practical jokester, teasing his friends and family, and making people laugh. He was gifted in his knowledge and skill with technology and used his expertise to help others who may have been technologically challenged. Rena was incredibly talented as a dancer, dance teacher, costume designer, and seamstress. Her artistic vision and creativity was unsurpassed and she shared her brilliance with the entire community through their dance studio, Siskiyou Dance Company. They both loved the outdoors, camping, swimming and taking their kids on many adventures. Their children, Kieran and Caden, were the light of their lives, and they strove to provide them with as much love and light as possible. Kieran and Caden are a direct testament to the giving hearts and talents of their parents and are two amazing kids who will continue to remind us of the incredible legacy of Danny and Rena.
Danny and Rena’s faith was a pivotal part of their lives and they consistently pursued ways to use their gifts, talents, inspiration, and passions to serve others in a variety of ways. Danny loved being active with local youth, mentoring them and was always willing to share his life. He and Rena were also heavily involved in youth ministry at their church. Rena mentored girls individually and in groups. She organized retreats, decorated for events, and always made herself available for the needs of others. Danny and Rena loved God, people, and each other in deep and lasting ways. Their deaths are a tragic loss to their family, church, and community. While Danny and Rena cherished one another and made lasting impacts on everyone around them, they were not immune to life’s struggles. It is our hope that those struggling with any troubling issue would seek the help and support they require and know that our family is always willing to lend a listening ear to anyone in need.
Danny and Rena are survived by their loving parents, Eva Moll, Gary & Terri Moll, and Rob & Pam Wilden. By their siblings, Kristin (Moll) & Nick Hoover, Ryan & Jessie (Carlisle) Wilden, Mathea (Wilden) & Brandon Turk, Spencer Resh and Carson Resh. By their children, Kieran and Caden Moll, grandparents William and Madeline Telfer, great grandfather Robert Wilden and nieces and nephews Katrina Wilden, Aydan Wilden, Bailey Turk, Wesley Turk, Baby Girl Hoover to be, and Baby Wilden to be, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Our entire family is forever grateful for the outpouring of love, support and acts of kindness by the local community and by our friends and family who live out of the area. Each kind gesture and word of condolence is a gift we cherish as we strive to honor Danny and Rena and support their children.
A Celebration of Life for Danny and Rena will be held on Saturday, October 14th at 2:00pm at the Kenneth W. Ford Theater at the College of the Siskiyous in Weed, CA.
