Rosa Mae Smith, born in Reeseville, South Carolina on January 13, 1946, passed away at her home in Weed, California on November 19, 2017.

Rosa’s family relocated to Weed when she was 3 years old. She worked for more than 40 years as an accountant; and was a graduate of Weed High School and College of the Siskiyous.

She was a member of the Mt. Shasta Baptist Church in Weed; and was an avid reader.

Rosa is survived by her husband, Leonard D. Smith of Weed, California; daughter, Cassandra Coco of Brentwood, Tennessee; son, Bradley Smith of Phoenix, Oregon; sisters: Katherine Dozier of Mather, California, Florine Phillips-Murray of Mather, California, and Florence Bowman of Branchville, South Carolina; and brother, Ernest Henderson of Branchville, South Carolina. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Aaron, Johnna, Clarke, Carson, and Claire.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 2 at 1 p.m. at Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel.
