May 16, 1924 — February 27, 2010
Correne Huddleston, known by her friends as Connie, her 10 children called her mom, and to her grandchildren she was mamo.
Correne went to meet the Lord on February 27, 2010 from Mercy Medical Care Center.
Correne was born Correne Heard in Jasper, Alabama on May 16, 1924 to Monroe and Rose Heard.
She was a wonderful person to know and kept that Southern sweetness and hospitality, even after moving across the country to live in the West where she raised her children in California.
Correne followed some family members to Mount Shasta, California after retiring in 1987 from Gemco Department Store where she was a retail clerk.
Correne is survived by her children, Lewis, Barbara, Judy, Linda, Ron, Rick, Connie, Debbie and Michael.
Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss their mamo and continue her loving legacy.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny.
Many friends and family will miss her.
Special thanks goes out to our sister Judy, who was an extra loving caregiver for our mom for many years, before mom was in need of services provided by Mercy Care Center and Hospice of Mount Shasta.
