Martha Jane Silva Bivens, died on July 9, 2010 at the age of 85 in Medford, Oregon, after a long illness.
Martha was born at the family home in Sacramento, California on March 18, 1925 to Mary and Manuel Silva. She was the seventh of eight children.
Martha met and married Lorin “Bud” Bivens on February 22, 1944.
She is survived by one brother, James Silva of Magalia, California; two sons, Lorin Jr. of Fort Jones, California and William Bivens (and Deanna) of Golden, Colorado; daughter, Loretta Healy (and Mark) of Weed, California; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
No services were held. A gathering of family and friends and a celebration of Martha’s life was held on August 14 at the home of Mark and Loretta Healy in Weed.
