Paul Allen McCune passed away on July 11, 2008 at his home in Dunsmuir.
He was born in Ashland, Oregon on February 9, 1928 to Carl and Margaret Stevens McCune. The family moved to Dunsmuir when Paul was one month old.
Upon graduating from Dunsmuir High School he served in the US Navy for two years as a medical corpsman.
Paul attended Chico State University for one year before returning to Dunsmuir to work for Southern Pacific Railroad until his retirement in 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia McCune; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Frank Hanner of Redding, California; daughter, Gail Goff of Klamath Falls, Oregon; grandchildren, Paul Hanner, Patrick Hanner, Traci Williams, John Goff; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; half-brother Albert McCune; and one granddaughter.
At Paul’s request there will be no memorial service.
