Mount Shasta, Calif. -

Edward Herman Vandemark, a resident of Dunsmuir, passed away at his home on January 8, 2010. He was 85 years old.
Edward was born in Cass Lake, Minnesota on May 6, 1924. He moved to Siskiyou County from Cass Lake in 1925.
Edward was a veteran of the US Army serving during World War II.
He was a steam fitter for local lumber mills for 30 years. Edward enjoyed wood working.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta Vandemark of Dunsmuir; son, Larry (and Jil) Vandemark of Dunsmuir; daughter, Andrea (and Jim) Sutton of Mount Shasta; granddaughter, Cherie Vandemark of Dunsmuir; great-granddaughter, Allyssa Cox; and two nieces, Elaine Hamb of McCloud and Dolores Nelson of Desert Palm Springs.
At Edward’s request, no services will be held. Burial is at the Dunsmuir Cemetery.
