'Steve' Sias

Stephen “Steve” Sias, 53 of Mount Shasta, passed away December 26, 2009 at Madrone Hospice in Yreka.
Steve was born in San Francisco, California on October 4, 1956, the only child of Richard and Beverlee Sias.
Steve was close to nature and knew it well. He loved to be in the woods. He was an avid skier. When he was eight years old he was considered No. 2 in the state; he skied with the Alpine Junior Ski Team at Lake Tahoe.
From 1975 to 1979 he attended Sierra Junior College in Rockland, California, majoring in writing and English. He received his Associate’s degree there.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Beverlee Sias. There are no known surviving relatives.
There will be a gathering of friends at the Everitt Memorial Lookout on Friday, June 4 from 2 to 7 p.m. For further information call Eric at 926-1212.
