Joan Greenstone Morton Lucas peacefully passed away on September 1, 2009 at her home in Mount Shasta, where she had lived for 18 years.
Joan was born in Los Angeles, California to Raymond and Pauline Greenstone.
She was best known for her love of the theater arts as a dancer, performer, teacher and choreographer.
Her joyous presence will be greatly missed by the many people who knew and loved her, and all those who were touched by her kindness, generosity and zest for life.
Joan is survived by her children, Richard Lucas of Mount Shasta, Robert Lucas of Southbury, Connecticut, and James Lucas of Wrentham, Massachusetts. She also leaves behind her sister, Leila Greenstone of North Hollywood, California; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were made by Mt. Shasta Memorial Chapel.
