Arlene W. Facchin was born on February 9, 1934 in McCloud, California to John and Marie Van Keuren. Arlene was one of six siblings. Arlene passed away at her home in Mount Shasta on February 13, 2010. She was 76.
Arlene grew up in McCloud and attended McCloud Elementary and McCloud High School.
After graduating from McCloud High, she went to work as an aide at the McCloud Hospital. Arlene retired from the Mount Shasta Elementary school system, she was a school bus driver and then a teacher’s aide.
Arlene met, then married Mario M. Facchin on September 15, 1956. She was preceded in death by her husband in June of 1990.
Arlene is survived by her three children, Phillip R. Facchin, Jessica Facchin Powers, and Mario A. Facchin. There are five grandchildren, Tiana Facchin Chandon, Carrie Powers Denton, Michael Powers, Andrea Facchin and Deanna Facchin; and four great-grandchildren, Alyssa Powers, Darren Denton, Cara Chandon and Connor Chandon.
Arlene was also close to her grand-niece and nephew, Janice Kertula and Kevin Kertula.
Arlene had many hobbies. She was a wonderful cook, an artist, orchid collector, and loved to feed her hummingbirds.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
