Lilia Louisa (Scarabello) Brown, also known as “Noni Lil” whom was our loving mother and grandmother, passed away on December 29, 2009 at the age of 78, due to natural causes.
Lilia was born to Virginio and Pia Scarabello in McCloud, California on April 7, 1931.
She then met her loving husband of 60 years, Jack Brown. Lilia and Jack owned Brown’s Drive In in Mount Shasta for 20 years, while raising their family.
Lilia had many loves and interests. She loved her family the most. She also enjoyed mushroom hunting with her husband, cutting firewood, gardening, camping at Medicine Lake, cooking and keeping family traditions alive.
Lilia is survived by her sons, Jackie Brown and his wife Terri, Michael Brown and his wife Venetta, all of Mount Shasta, and Bill Brown and his wife Marcella of Redding; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great, great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Acord and her husband Allen of Klamath Falls, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack.
A memorial service was held on Friday, January 8 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Shasta Memorial Chapel.
