Cinda Marie Austin, a resident of Weed, passed away on January 11, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Mount Shasta. She was 52 years old.
Cinda was born in McCloud, California on March 14, 1957. She was a 1975 graduate of Weed High School.
Cinda was employed as a desk clerk for the Quality Inn motel in Weed. She enjoyed writing poetry and painting.
Survivors include her fiance, Robert Martin of McCloud; daughters, Jennifer Leese of Sacramento and Trista Austin of Mount Shasta; stepsons, Russell and Charles Allen, both of Kingman, Arizona; mother, Janet Kaetterhenry of Weed; brother, Ted Page of Raymore, Missouri; sister, Susan Mukai of Portland, Oregon; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 16 at 11 a.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church in Weed. Burial is at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice, 914 Pine Street, CA 96067.
