Jenny Reese passed away on December 31, 2009, at Madrone Hospice of Yreka. She was a mother of three and a grandmother of eight.
All of her children and her eldest grandchild were present at the time of her passing. Her family will miss her very much.
Jenny lived in the Mt. Shasta area for several years during which time she was active in a movement for peace. She had a wide circle of friends in California and in other parts of the world.
She worked as a therapist and held a doctorate of psychology.
Jenny loved animals and often volunteered with local animal shelters. She had the gift of music and shared it with people throughout her life.
She enjoyed meeting people and was always interested in helping them to improve their lives. She always loved and provided her family with guidance through challenging times.
Jenny was very determined to live through cancer and she waged a long, brave fight against the disease.
In Jenny’s honor, there will be a peace vigil on Martin Luther King Day, January 18 at 5 p.m. at the plaza of Mount Shasta City Hall.
Weather permitting candles will be burned in her memory and, for peace in the world, which she and so many others hope for.
