Rebecca Smith
Rebecca Mae Smith, a former resident of Dunsmuir, California, died on Sunday, February 7, 2010 in Woodland, California, where she had lived for the past eight years. She was 92 years old.
Becky was born on January 15, 1918 on a farm near Topeka, Kansas.
She married Bud Young after graduating from high school and moved to Dunsmuir in 1940.
Becky spent the majority of her adult life in Dunsmuir while working as office manager/bookkeeper for the Dunsmuir Water Company.
She is survived by her daughter, Ronda Patella and husband John, of Davis; sister, Ruth Walker of Hays, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Lynn Young of Dunsmuir; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great, great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Bud Young and Clint Baughman; and a son, Garry Young.
Interment will be held at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park at a later date.
