Zachary John Swan, 28, entered into rest on April 28, 2010 at his Manteca residence surrounded by his family. He was born on April 4, 1982 in Redding, California. He joins his uncle in heaven Arnie Crawford.

Zachary is survived by his mother and stepfather Maribeth and Baxter Dunn of Manteca. His grandparents are Arley and Evelyn Crawford of Anderson. He has one uncle, Dale Crawford of Vacaville. His siblings are Tim Swan and Emma Swan both of Dunsmuir. He is also survived by his cousin Mike Crawford of Burney and extended family in Arkansas. In addition, Zachary is survived by his girlfriend Sarah Aguilera and her family.

Zach was a resident of Manteca and previously of Daly City and Dunsmuir. He was a Physical Education Teacher for Jefferson High School in Daly City.

He graduated from Dunsmuir High School in 2000, where he excelled in sports and school activities. After high school Zach graduated from Sonoma State University in 2006. While attending Sonoma State he received his teaching credential and his B.S. degree in Kinesiology.

Zach coached boy’s basketball at Dunsmuir Elementary school and assisted the coaching staff at Dunsmuir High. While coaching at Dunsmuir he made a significant impact on the community, students and his lifelong friends.

Zach was an avid sports fan and loved photography. He valued his family and friends as he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
His Celebration of Life will be held on May 14 at 6 p.m. at the Dunsmuir Community Building, 4841 Dunsmuir Avenue in Dunsmuir. Zach has requested that his celebration be a happy time for his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Zach’s name to Dunsmuir Scholarship Fund, PO Box 232 Dunsmuir, CA. 96025.
