Kelly Miller Owens, a resident of McCloud, passed away on March 2, 2010 at the Methodist Hospital in Sacramento. He was 92 years old.
Kelly was born in Texarkana, Texas on August 4, 1917. He moved to Siskiyou County 70 years ago.
Kelly was a mill wright for a local lumber company.
Survivors include his daughter, Gaile Haney-Owens of Castro Valley; stepdaughter, Sabtina Morgan; stepsons, Percy Langston, Ira, Larry, Paul, and Michael Fair; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, James Owens and Edward Owens.
A memorial service will be held today, March 10 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Shasta Memorial Chapel with Pastor Henry Gaines officiating.
Visitation will take place at the time of the service. Burial is at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park.
Arrangements were made by Mt. Shasta Memorial Chapel.
