Paul Joseph Aiello, a resident of Mount Shasta, passed away of natural causes on August 28, 2008 at Mercy Care Center in Mount Shasta. He was 85.
Paul was born in Casino, Italy on September 30, 1922. He moved to Siskiyou County from Italy in 1929.
Paul was a veteran of the US Army during World War II. He worked as a lumber grader for Champion International Lumber.
Paul enjoyed playing poker and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge in Mount Shasta.
Survivors include a son, Dorian Aiello of Mount Shasta; a daughter, Rose Ann Herrick of Mount Shasta; two brothers, Louie Aiello of Sacramento and Leo Aiello of Redding; a sister, Emma Zan of Redwood City; and three grandchildren, Tessa Montgomery, Alex Herrick and Austin Herrick.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Aiello in 2007; and a sister, Rose Yanez.
A memorial service will be held this Friday, Sept. 5 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Shasta Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ray Horst officiating. Entombment is at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park.

Leonard Brown
Retired Reverend Leonard R. Brown of Dunsmuir, California passed on to be with the Lord on September 2, 2008.
Memorial services are to be held this Saturday, Sept. 6 at Hope Community Church, 974 Lassen Lane in Mount Shasta, (530) 926-2847. Fellowship to follow.
