Irene A. Stroder passed away on July 20, 2008 at Willow Springs Care Center in Redding, California.
Irene was born in Doe Run, Missouri on August 22, 1909 to John O’Sullivan and Minnie Merritt O’Sullivan.
Irene was very active in the Mount Shasta Hospital Auxiliary for many years. She was an accomplished oils painter; a world traveler; and sang with the San Jose Opera Company.
She is survived by her son Richard Bolling of Mount Shasta. Two of her four grandsons, Kevin Bolling and James Bolling also reside in Mount Shasta. Her oldest grandson, Richard (Rick) Bolling lives in Reno, Nevada. One grandson, Thomas, preceded her in death. She had two great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren.
