William Leslie Higuera, a resident of Mount Shasta, passed away on January 8, 2010 at Mercy Care Center in Mount Shasta. He was 76 years old.
William was born in San Francisco, California on November 29, 1933 to Mae and Manual Higuera. He moved to Siskiyou County in 1995.
William and Esther were married on December 13, 1975.
William worked for the United States Post Office until his retirement. He was an avid coin and stamp collector.
Survivors include his wife, Esther Higuera of Mount Shasta; two sons, DeWayne (and Elaine) Cope of Ocklawaha, Florida and Alan (and Sherri) Lauthner of Newman; three daughters, Barbara Silman (and Brent) of Prosperity, South Carolina, Sharon Lauthner (and Dave) of Vallejo, and Brenda Hettiger (and Joe) of Lawton, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Donald Higuera.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were made by Mt. Shasta Memorial Chapel.
