Gino James Trevisan, 89, of Mount Shasta passed away on January 14, 2010. Gino was born in Weed, California on November 29, 1920.
Gino served in the US Army from 1942 to 1945. Gino participated in the battles and campaigns of Normandy, Rhineland, Central Europe and Northern France.  He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, and World War II Victor Medal.
Gino was well known in the community as “Gino the Barber” for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia Trevisan; son, David Trevisan; daughter-in-law, Claudia Trevisan; daughter, Jean Perrin; son-in-law, Marc Perrin; and grandchildren, Brian and Amy Trevisan; Chad Trevisan and his fiance Jessica Stoner; and Nicholas James Perrin.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Loved ones and friends are encouraged to attend the graveside military burial ceremony following the services at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park. A social gathering will follow at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall.
