Family and friends mourned the passing of Louise D. Bills on May 11, 2008.
Born Louise Duane Solari on September 14, 1912 in McCloud, California, she was a graduate of the Mount Shasta High School Class of 1930.
Her father, Louis Solari owned the Mt. Shasta Hotel, Bakery and started the Bank of Mt. Shasta.
Louise attended business school in San Francisco, California. When she graduated she returned to Mount Shasta and married Preston C. Bills of the Mount Shasta Fish Hatchery in 1932.
They lived in Mount Shasta until he was transferred to Exeter, California to manage the state fish hatchery there.
Upon Preston’s death she moved to Visalia, California where she worked for the Tulare County School District until retirement.
In 1998 she moved to El Cajon, California to live with her daughter.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Patricia Mills of El Cajon and Naomi Brown of Lindsay, California. Louise has five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great, great-grandchild.
Private family services were held. Burial was at the Exeter Cemetery in Exeter.
