About a hundred folks turned out for food and fellowship during Lake Shastina’s 4th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting celebration Thursday night.
Hot dogs, chili, hot chocolate and desserts were served inside the fire department. 
The ceremony started with prayer given by John Diehm followed by everyone singing traditional Christmas carols while the lights on the tree in front of the police department were lit. 
When Mr. and Mrs. Claus arrived, children took turns talking with Santa and posing for a portrait done by M&M Photography. 
Desserts were donated by the Lake Shastina Red Hats Society, and the hot dogs and chili were donated and cooked by the Lake Shastina Fire Department.
