Yreka, Calif. -

The Mount Shasta High School girls basketball team came within seconds of advancing to the championship bracket at the Yreka Miners Invitational Thursday in Miner Gym.
But a three-point basket by Yreka's Ashley Lemos in the closing seconds gave the host team a 29-28 win.
Yreka advances to play Klamath Union, a 55-52 winner over Del Norte, Friday at 8:30 p.m.
Mount Shasta will face Del Norte at 2:30 on Friday.
