The Yreka High varsity volleyball team team downed Trinity at home in three sets 25-13, 25-16, 25-14 on Tuesday to improve to 11-3 for the year.
Ashley Cox had 10 kills and eight digs for the Miners. Madeline Eastman finished with 15 service points, nine assists, and five aces. Trinity Apodaca had six kills. Neina Hatch finished with 10 assists. Callie Currie had seven digs. Jazmin Ochoa and Hailey Conner had four kills each for the Miners.
Yreka will next compete at a tourney in Anderson on Friday and Satuday.
In the JV game on Tuesday, YHS defeated Trinity at home Tuesday in two sets by the score of 25-23, 25-15. Dallas Lambert and Jada Swenson, photo one, led YHS with three aces. Swenson also had seven assists. Hannah Brown finished with four kills, while Amaya Warfield had seven digs. Jamilex Buelna finished with eight assists.
