Mount Shasta's boys basketball team had no problem evening its Shasta Cascade League record to 1-1 Friday night on its home court, scoring a 62-39 win over the Etna Lions.
Four Bears scored in double figures as the Bears improved their overall record to 8-6.
Erik Thelander scored 13 points, Gene Kenyon 12, Jake Padula 11 and Shane Freeman 10. Freeman added 8 rebounds; Thelander had 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
