Weed’s Top of the State Run is scheduled for Saturday, July 17, during the annual Carnevale celebration.
Sponsored by Siskiyou Runners and Weed Recreation and Parks Department, the event begins at 8 a.m. It includes a two-mile run, two-mile walk and five-mile run.
The Top of the State will be held on its original courses in 2010.
The two-mile course follows Siskiyou Way and Shastina Drive and back.
The five-mile run heads out Siskiyou Way and Shastina Drive, then follows the loop around Hidden Meadow Drive before returning to the college. The final two miles are on the forested College of the Siskiyous Bear Trail.
Awards are given to the top 3 places in each division, with an overall award to the fastest male and female in both the five-mile and two-mile.
