3 on 3 hoops cancelled

Mount Shasta, Calif. -
There will be no Big Mountain Hoop Fest 3-on-3 basketball tournament during this year’s Fourth of July celebration.
Organizers said too few players signed up for the first-time event to make it work.
Ideas are being discussed about holding the tournament at a different time of year.
Full refunds will be given to those who did register.
Articles located elsewhere in this week’s paper went to press before the cancellation information reached our office and incorrectly report that the tournament is going to be held.
