The first Big Mountain Hoop Fest, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, is scheduled to be held outdoors at Sisson School in Mount Shasta on July 3 and 4.
Sponsored by the Mt. Shasta Recreation District, Mount Shasta Chamber of Commerce and Mount Shasta Supermarket, the tournament is a fundraiser for the Mount Shasta High School basketball teams.
A $20 per person entry fee includes a t-shirt. Slam dunk, three-point and free throw contests will be included.
Teams will compete in categories by gender and age (junior high, high school, open, and over 40).
No games will be scheduled during the Walk/Run and parade on July 4.
