News to know
The Secret Service interviewed rocker Ted Nugent on Thursday, though the agency wasn’t issuing details on the conversation. Nugent made what seemed like threatening comments recently about President Barack Obama, saying, "If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year."
Quote of note
"I said, 'Is it possible that these men would resign?' He said he had no doubt that they would, that they probably would. Why? Because of the culture. They have this pride, they don't want any bad apples and so it probably would be so uncomfortable to them that they would leave. So, yesterday's actions with regard to folks leaving and being fired did not surprise me one bit." – Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Ga., talking to CNN about a conversation with Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan. Three agents are leaving after a prostitution scandal, and more resignations are expected.
