A new exhibition showcasing the quilts of Ohio quilt artist Nancy Crow will run at the Fuller Craft Museum from Jan. 30 through May 9.
Fuller Craft Museum opens a new show on Jan. 30.
The exhibition of art quilts by Ohio quilt artist Nancy Crow, "Crossroads/New and Recent Quilts," will run from Jan. 30 through May 9.
Here's how the museum describes her work:
"The dazzling art quilts of Nancy Crow have transformed a tradition-bound medium into one of bold improvisation, composition and technical innovation. Her masterful fabric cutting and piecing are done without controlled grids and patterns – her creations emerge from a more improvisational approach. This exhibition, in Fuller Craft’s Merton Tarlow and Lampos galleries, presents her asymmetrical designs using elegant hand-dyed fabrics of highly saturated color."
The opening reception at the museum on Sunday, Jan. 31, is sold out. The museum is also offering a workshop with the artist from Jan. 26- to 30.
