Gertrude Emma Neptune, a resident of Mount Shasta, passed away on May 8, 2009 at her home following a long illness. She was 95.
Gertrude was born in Adin, California on July 19, 1913. She moved to Mount Shasta from Pondosa in 1945.
Gertrude was a homemaker.
She was a member of Fidelity Chapter 131 Order of the Eastern Star, United Methodist Women’s Circle, and past member of the Grange. Gertrude enjoyed crafts, sewing and hiking.
Survivors include a son, Robert C. Neptune of Mount Shasta; a daughter, Bonnie Crocker of Grants Pass, Oregon; two brothers, Gene Nash of Anderson and Earl Nash of Greenfield, Missouri; a sister, Leta Convolin of Jackson, California; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford J. Neptune.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Mount Shasta. Burial is at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to cancer research through Order of the Eastern Star.
