Esther Louise Jenson, a resident of Mount Shasta, passed away on May 11, 2009 at Mercy Care Center in Mount Shasta, following a long illness. She was 91.
Esther was born in Loretto, Nebraska on November 23, 1917. She moved to Siskiyou County from Yuba City, California in 2008.
Esther was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery, crossword puzzles and above all, her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include five sons, William Jenson, Jim Jenson, Michael Jenson, Patrick Jenson and David Jenson; three daughters, Judith Goulart, Melodee Bell and Roxanna Thomas; two brothers, Conrad Bliemeister and William Bliemeister; a sister, Darlene Wortman; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Alfred Jenson; a son, Jack Jenson; a daughter, Rochelle Lukas; and two brothers, Harold Bliemeister and Gale Bliemeister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held next Wednesday, May 20 at 10 a.m. at Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Riverside, California with Father Louis officiating. Burial is at Olivewood Memorial Park in Riverside.
