Harold Dean Ritchey, a resident of Weed, passed away on April 23, 2009 at his home, following a short illness. He was 78.
Harold was born in Dierks, Arkansas on June 30, 1930. He moved to Siskiyou County 16 years ago.
Harold was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean War.
He was a self-employed painter and enjoyed wood carving and painting.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam Carroll of Porterville and Vickiy Campos of Bakersfield; two sisters, Mary Burchfield and Wanda Payne, both of Weed; seven grandsons; and four great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Ritchey; and a sister, Margurete Ralls.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 6 at the Winema Cemetery in Weed.
