Benjamin “Negie” Zanni Jr. passed away on August 11, 2010 in the Philippine Islands. He was born on June 23, 1933 in Weed, California.

Benjamin left Weed High School to serve in the US Navy. When he returned home he started working in the International Paper Company box factory and sawmill.

He then started driving logging trucks when he decided to move to Pollock Pines, California. After a time driving logging trucks, he started working for Caltrans.

He retired from Caltrans and moved to the Philippines where he lived happily until he passed away.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Zanni Clark of Sacramento; brother, Ronald “Poochie” Zanni of Weed; niece, Louann Roberts; nephew, Stacy Zanni; brother, Richard Zanni Sr., who now resides in San Antonio, Texas; niece, Cheri Zanni; niece, Lori Zanni; and nephew, Richard Zanni Jr.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Irma Annie Zanni and his father, Benjamin Zanni Sr. of Weed, California.
He lived each day to the fullest and we will miss him dearly.
At his request, he was laid to rest at Dipolog City, Philippine Islands, where he resided for 13 years.
