People from Siskiyou County who are headed to the Burning Man festival at the end of August and would like to camp with “friends and neighbors” are encouraged to contact veteran burner Mark Gibson, who is organizing Camp Siskiyou.

“Camp Siskiyou has always been a fun, safe, social place for people from our area to develop a great sense of community and camaraderie,” says Gibson. “I get to the burn as soon as it opens to the public and I stake out an area that all of us can convene at and set up our camps next to each other. We all pitch in to help each other, and we go out on the playa and have absolutely wonderful experiences.”

Gibson said he is available to assist people, especially first time burners who may want some guidance and support. He can be reached at 926-5966.
